Metric and FM3-specific Tunes Coming Soon!

ForzaTune version 1.1 is on the way (metric and fm3 tunes)

Just a quick update for everyone…

Version 1.1 of ForzaTune™ Premiere has been submitted to the Apple iTunes store and is awaiting approval (should be available to update on your device within a week).  It will have a lot of great improvements! For our fellow racers across the world we will have metric units support, and for everyone with Forza 3 we will provide FM3-specific tunes.

Up until now we recommended adding 20% to the FM2 spring rates but this update will include much more comprehensive Forza3 suspension calculations.  Feuerdog and I hope everyone understands that this is the first FM3 tune and it will get better much with time and further testing.  Thanks to everyone for all the great comments and encouragement!

If you are on the mailing list you will receive an email when the new update is available for download.  Remember there will be a small bump in the price when the update comes out so if you are on the fence, right now is the time to get ForzaTune Premiere–the 1.1 update will be free if you already own the app.  (click here to download the full app now)

Using this for forza 3, anybody know where in the game you get the tire widths?

  2. Ashdog80 says:

To get tyre widths go into upgrade. Find the wheel section, look at what tyres u have installed and it shows the width.

  3. Another option to see all the specs of your cars is to go to ‘My Cars’ then hit ‘X’ to see your car list. You’ll get a spreadsheet view of your rides. Hit ‘RB’ (shoulder button on top right of controller) to scroll through all of the different car specs. Tire widths are at the very end along with everything else you would need like weight and distribution etc.

The update is ready to download, at least in the German apps store. It already looks good (metric system and switch to FM3). I will test it this evening.

Any chance you will make this for android? Traded up to a Droid and love it. Will miss this app the most.

Comment avoir le setting unit metric

    • Hi Datrino, if Google Translate is right I think you are asking for metric units. They are available in the latest version of ForzaTune Premiere (unités de mesure sont disponibles dans la dernière version 1.1).

    Great App!

But one thing is absolutely necessary – please please add european units. It’s quite useless for us, I have to recalculate every lb, psi, inch…
Please give us bar, centimeter and kilograms!

I have the US version, but my tire width input is in metric. How do I convert the US tire width to metric?

    • Strangely enough tire widths are one of the few things expressed in metric in the US. So when you see “18 245/45″ it means it’s an 18 inch wheel that’s 245mm wide. The last number is the height of the tire sidewall as a percentage of the width. In this example that would be 45%. I hope that helps. For this version of ForzaTune you only care about the middle number.

Great app, but I’m not sure how it can give you the settings for the diff without knowing how much power/torque is going through the wheels?

    or am i missing something?

    • The base diff settings are more for controlling over- and understeer but if you have a car with ridiculous power you may have to tweak them a bit or make the gears a little taller.

Sweet app however with drifting gaining alot of popularity maybe you can put out an update where it will drift tune your car as well…That would be sweet as well. Great app though thanks!!
