One of the lesser known features in ForzaTune 7 is the ability to create a tune for unlisted cars. This is helpful for older Forza games or if it’s taking a few days to get the latest ForzaTune updates published.
Here’s a quick run through…
Since this screen capture plays at 3x speed let’s walk through in a little more detail.
How to Tune Unlisted Cars
Start as usual where you would select a vehicle name. If the car is not in the database you will see an option to tune by division.
Tap the tune by division button and you will be able to select a division that includes your vehicle. This allows the formulas to get a close approximation of the vehicle’s physics, etc. Tune as you normally would from there. I recommend using the customizations to dial in your desired feel.
For even more general cases, you can scroll all the way to the bottom of the division list and select the “general” option. This is similar to creating a tune with older versions of ForzaTune that used a common vehicle model. My, how far we’ve come!
